#FarmersProtest- Internal Corporate Comms

Sandeep Kaur Ruprai is a senior employee of NBCUniversal UK that wanted to raise awareness of the #FarmersProtest movement with her colleagues.

With this aim in mind, Sandeep worked to have her employer’s internal comms team cover the topic through their regular newsletters, circulated to thousands of employees. Sandeep did this by writing up articles, such as the one below, and providing the content needed to cover the topic, whilst ensuring the articles remained appropriate for corporate comms. Sandeep’s articles include references to the unlawful arrest and detainment of the likes of Nodeep Kaur, as well as the brutal violence suffered by peaceful protesters at the hands of Indian police forces.

The Sikh Press Association applaud Sandeep for her efforts and will be working to support her continuing this seva (selfless service). We also encourage others that work in similar large corporations that may have a place within internal comms for such articles to replicate her efforts. Sandeep herself will now be working with Sikh PA to provide anyone looking to do this with support and advice in how to go about raising the issue of the #FarmersProtest within a corporate environment.
